Chanel’s AW collection showed, and, in this blog, we’ll break down the styles that they are showing…
Black trench coat
This look takes an ankle-length black trench coat and pairs it with sparkly sheer tights, black patent leather brogues. The look is accessorised with a crossbody bag and statement gold earrings. The trench coats shown also have sparkles for a glamourous twist on the look with a double-breasted jacket. The leather trench coat style is paired with a cardigan over the top. There is an ankle length woollen jacket adorned with feathers for a glamourous 1920s look, paired with fingerless pink statement gloves. The trench coat styles shown are rounded off with a buttonless slim fitting style adorned with feathers on the shoulders
Tweed trench coat
The flowing tweed trench coat shown has the appearance of a suit but is actually a long jacket. It’s paired with gold fingerless statement gloves and gold boots, bringing glamour to your winter look. The two-tone tweed jackets are accessorised with faux fur or matching tweed handbags, woollen scarves and gold boots, which seem to be the big trend for this AW.
In addition to the tweed jackets on show, the collection shows two-part tweed suits, in both skirt and trouser styles.
The sequin suit showcases the glamorous sparkles trend but does it in both a subtle and bold way simultaneously
Woollen scarves in sympathetic colours to suits were on show, as well as warm plain colours including oranges, pinks and reds. These were shown with puffa jackets in wool and more elegant fitted woollen coats.
The warm tones of pink have made it onto the catwalks in the form of tweed suits. This elegant style is reminiscent of 1950s feminine styles. This look is paired with metallics including bronze for a warm colour palette.
Embroidered floral jackets with black as a base colour and highlighted by reds and greens were paired with metallic gold tones. Accessorised with pink and pearls, this look is very traditionally feminine.
Similar to the florals on show, a bold pattern of leave designs made its way into the collection. The design is on jackets and suits and is a perfect autumn trend.
Faux Fur overcoats are very much back. With 1920s style cuts, they are perfect for wearing for a formal evening. The style is mixed up with feathered adornments for something a bit different.
